To Expose and Dispose the Hackers

We all get very frustated when it comes to map-hackers, drop-hackers, money-hacker (this hack was fixed in our latest patch), and some other straaaaaange hacksssssss. You hate them, and everyone does... but you can't do anything about them. Calling them names, cursing them, and ban them were nothing unusual... but still, it is rather not enough.

Hence, I hope you could help us to expose theirs name in BGHers.blogspot.com and dispose them in the Battle.net.

If you have evidences (replays) about someone who hack, BGHers.blogspot.com will expose his names (battle.net nickname) with the evidence (replay) you have right into this blog.

Summit your evidence (replay) and the guy name who you think is hacking to my email (lousy.robot@gmail.com). Remember to have a short description on what happen on the replays, who is hacking, who are you, and what patch you are using when you save this replay.

Thank you, and I am honour to have your dedication to BGHers.blogspot.com.
Waiting for your replays.

if they were hacking, starcraft crashes when you try to save the replay. that's when you know for sure they were hacking.

hmm... if that's the case, what's are the evidences that we can get? you mean there's absolutely no way we can catch a hacker?

Screenshots may be a good idea. Or maybe we can get some replays that shows hack-drop... wondering if hack-drop reps can be save.

However, replays that shows high possibility of hacking, I will still post it up for our players to judge by themselves whether they are hacking or not.

Of course we're upset when people use maphack and drophack. I've been fighting this battle for a very long time and learnt that there's not much we can do.

The thing with trying to save replays is that they crash and one way to counter this is to use PenguinPlug and have it on while you play.

My current method for blocking out Maphackers is:

1: Keep a list of maphackers so you know who they are.

2: If they joined your game, check their name against the list and see if they're in there. If so, ban.

There's a problem with this method and the problem is that people create new account just to avoid being ban since their new name is not on your hacklist.

What I do to counter this is ban new accounts that try to enter my game (0-0-0). Or any accounts that have less than 30 games played.

And from experience, before you add the person to your hacklist check his stats first. There's no point in adding an idiot whose state is something like: 10-20.

Since he can create a new account and start all over. Try add someone who has very high rec and he will ruined.
